Introduction

Michael H. Ference joined Sichenzia Ross Ference Carmel LLP in 1999. Mr. Ference is a nationally recognized expert in the Securities Litigation and Arbitration arenas. Mr. Ference has successfully represented clients in actions and investigations brought before governmental agencies and self-regulatory bodies such as the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), various state agencies and the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA). He has represented dozens of public, private and not-for-profit corporations, FINRA member firms, as well as hundreds of securities industry registered personnel. In his Corporate Finance practice, Mr. Ference represents public and private companies, underwriters and investment funds in a broad range of federal and state securities laws and investment and capital-raising transactions, including public offerings, PIPEs, private equity, debt and venture capital transactions.

Experience

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Ference was a member of the law firm Lampert, Lampert & Ference, where he specialized in Securities Litigation and Arbitration as well as Corporate Finance matters.

Mr. Ference has regularly appeared on several nationally televised business news programs including The American Consumer, BusinessWeek Money Talks and The Smart Consumer where he discusses the legal implications of various business issues confronting corporations and individuals.

Education

Mr. Ference was named an Andrew Carnegie Scholar and graduated in 1991 with University Honors and a B.S. in Policy and Management from Carnegie Mellon University, and received his M.S.I.A. (MBA) from the Tepper School of Business at Carnegie Mellon University in 1992. Mr. Ference graduated from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in 1995, where he was a member of the school's Moot Court National Team and Moot Court Honor Society and received two Jacob Burns' medals for academic excellence.

Bar Admissions

Mr. Ference was admitted to practice in New York and New Jersey in 1996 and 1995, respectively. Mr. Ference is also admitted to practice before the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York and the District of New Jersey, and has been admitted to practice in various other United States District Courts pro hac vice.

Mr. Ference was admitted to the Bar of the United States Supreme Court in 2014.
